I might as well share and open a “Brave New Rust” Discord Channel. Please use it, so we can start making more of a Game community and a ways to communicate on the Server or other games. Season XI: Brave New Rust 11/3


Hi Brave New Rust Community,

I know you will guy will be up and ready for this new patch, so I will update the servers as soon as possible, Thursday 11/3 around 1-3PM Pacific Time Zone. I hope you will enjoy the new change for Rust, and we hope it will turn out better or for worst.

So we will be starting super fresh with a big change to the game. It will be a component system so anyone can craft anything from the start. Harder components for guns and etcs will be deeper in land vs the basic items will be in different zone.

So hang on to your butts because were going to go on for a ride. Expect delays, bugs, and glitches. Expects the worst and don’t be surprise if we have a RESET. I will try my best to address the situation, and if it is really bad the first week, we can figure out something. Expect a bumpy launch, so please bare with Facepunch and the Brave New Rust Servers.

“The XP system mainly sucked because it completely changed the feel of Rust as a sandbox. It was no longer about new encounters and enjoying your time in the game world, but instead about how to level up as quickly as you can. And when that finally happened, the game immediately became boring. It was also unsustainable going forward. New items we haven’t even thought of yet would need to be hacked into certain levels, which would cause a never ending balance nightmare and item bloat (it was already ridiculous when you’d reach a level and have 12 things unlocked). Eventually we’d like to never have to wipe and just have decay and resource management take care of the server, and XP was not compatible with this goal without all kinds of workarounds and hacks forced in like some sort of prestige system. And lastly, it removed the “making lemonade out of lemons” feel Rust had, where you’d stumble across a bucket helmet and crossbow blueprint and that would be your load-out for the foreseeable future.” -Maurino Berry (Helk)

Last Week – Season X: BNR 10/28

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

It is the last week and to go over the new changes… Everything that Facepunch had been working on is going to Hell, and it looks like were going to a new system next week.

It looks like they will be revamping the map to a component system and saying GOODBYE to the XP system.

Which means everything that you guys all work hard on is going to be gone. I’m sorry to say this but this game has been a roller coaster. As the Owner of Brave New Rust. I have honestly been burnt out from all the changes but still trying to manage a good Rust experience. I have been gone for work the past few months and from the look of it, the game experience is looking from bad to worst.

I can hope for the best but we’ve been in Alpha for a very long time. I been hearing a lot of concern on the new patch, and if you don’t come back to the game or server, I totally understand. I will keep the server open for the Vanilla Rust Experience.

Anyone on the server, should respect the Admins of the server, if you are banned then it is with good reason. If you’re banned most likely you’re being a smart ass, trolling, or doing something obscene to annoy people. Please respect everyone and understand you’re a guest on my server, you can leave anytime you want, so please don’t threaten me or any of my admin.

You will be banned and get a salt shaker in the forums if you cry more.

Overall, I appreciate your time here in Brave New Rust, and I have seen the rise and fall of this game. Hopefully Facepunch can get their shit together, and as a fellow gamer I’m starting to work on other projects on my Twitch Channel. So I will probably be just monitoring the servers. So enjoy the next season, be marry, and stay Rusty.

Preview to Season XI: BNR


Hi Brave New Rust Community,

I’m finally back from the Desert Trip and I have finally start settling back down to my old computer where all my work has been. I apologize for last season, I wasn’t available to watch over the server. I appreciate Nitro and Alykah for stepping in for me and maintaining a presence online. I definitely couldn’t do this without you guys, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Overall, this server has been up for close to 11 months now, and this server has grown to become at least one of the top community Rust server that is available online.

That is because of you and everyone that comes in and out of the Brave New Rust community. I understand if you guys play different games, or if real life happens. I hope to continue to maintain this server so people can continue to play Rust. Even though I’m sure some of you guys are pretty burnt out from all the weird “ALPHA” changes, I’m sure the developers are trying their best.

Even though the server has been through the ups and down for the Rust development, the population of the servers, all the SALT or toxic players. We some how still continue to have traffic between 20-25 people on any given day.

Thanks again for playing on “Brave New Rust“, As we continue to play Rust, we hope Facepunch can finally get things balance and get this game together. Until then, here is what we have in store coming soon.

Season 9: Brave New Rust

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

Its been a while since I been on Rust, and that’s because I have been traveling again working the festivals. I just finish Kaaboo 2016 and I will be off in the desert for my next job called “Desert Trip“. My life has been crazy and I’m always on a move because my life is like a Gypsy. Even though I would love to stay to play games, but my jobs have me travel to lots of places.

With that being said, Nitro and Alykah will be Moderating the servers while I’m gone. Please give them the most respect, as they will be moderating the server for toxic players that cheat or cause a disturbance to the server.

This server is for the community and I appreciate all the people that have join on and off the servers. I see everyone of you and you have made this Rust Experience very memorable. I hope with the success of the game, it will become LIVE one day and I hope this game makes it.

BNR: Server Update 8/25

All the Servers are Updated!

This is our last week of Season 8 and I want to thank everyone that has join our server and generated traffic to our servers and websites.

There is one more week to go before we start Season 9 so here is what we have in store in the upcoming week.

After all the bug fixes done in Rust, were going to finally do a Full Wipe on the US and AUS Servers, London is not getting a XP wipe because I just opened it. So Sept 1st, will be an even playing field for both the Australian Server and US Server.

BNR: Server Update 8/18


Hi Brave New Rust Community,

It’s been a solid two weeks of Rust gaming, and with last month shit show. It looks like the Rust Gods have fixed the balance back to the Rust world. With hundreds of bugs still on the horizon I still wonder if we’ll be ever out of Alpha.

All the Servers are all good and updated, so I hope you enjoy the rest of Season VIII. Next wipe is September 1st, 2016…

It’s been a steady month, and people are slowly coming back to the Brave New Rust Community. So right now is a great time to come back and build on the server.

Our new members from Europe are already joining the BNR: London server, and populating it slowly. We also have plenty of new members from all the servers, so everyone welcome to Brave New Rust.

London – Brave New Rust 8/10

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

It’s Soma again, and I have been busy with real life working and I’m finally back home in Washington. So I’m slowly trying to keep updating the website and forums with the most updated stuff. I took some time off on Rust from last season from all the major bugs Facepunch had to offer. Last season sort of sucked for all of us and I have to admit the Server took a hit in the numbers. It was to be expected but I know that’s because this is still an Alpha game.

I tried to make a PvE server and that didn’t seem to work, and a small map didn’t even bring too much traffic either. This is probably because of the recent patches and changes to the game, Rust seems to still be in a limbo. So I have decided to try to do my next move, which is to move the 3rd Server slot to London.

London was a destination that was always on my mind for a while and since the base of the game is PvP. Other formats of the game didn’t seem to fit the server reputation of what Brave New Rust had to offer. I picked London for the next destination for the Server because I wanted to bring an EU group to the Brave New Rust Community. Hopefully, we can gather more traffic and to continue to bring a great Vanilla Rust experience for everyone.
