Today’s patch will be a bit bumpy. I already feel there’s going to be up and down so I’m not sure what’s going to happen. I’m waiting for further instruction on how to restore the XP and the save files. Helk says I have an option for everything to be restore. But with all the glitches, I’m not too entirely sure on how this whole process will work out.

So please bare with me, I’m trying my best to keep your progress going, and if I don’t its still not the end of the world. The Servers will probably be on and off due to maintenance today. Thanks again for your patience, I’m trying to keep your progress.

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

So good news “Helk” said there’s an option for a no wipe on Thursday. I would have to look in further on how to restore the save, but we should continue our season with where we left off, which is good.

“We’ve also introduced a feature that will allow community server owners to restore the old xp database and savegame file after they’ve patched incase they do not want to participate in the forced wipe.” – Helk

We can only hope this new patch will go more smoothly. Apparently groups were getting too much of an advantage and they are nerfing it for more game balance issues.

Here’s the Reddit Post

1. Max XP you can earn from any one player is limited to 6xp.
2. No more xp gained from the usage of resources – instead its from the first few times crafting an item
3. XP diminishing is in effect. This means the more someone harvests for you the less xp you get
4. Radial XP falloff (working on it ) this means that you will not earn xp for player actions farther than n units from your current position, hopefully meaning you’ll have to mentor people or be around them rather than AFK in your base.

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

Here’s the moment y’all have been waiting for, its been 7 months in the making, which includes the building of this community, tons of game updates, and this websites. Thanks for joining the “Brave New Rust Community” we have grown from a very humble beginning from a population of one, to a population of 50+ in across 3 different Rust servers.

I want to take the time now, to thank everyone that has donated to the server. I appreciate everyone that has donated, and you guys really help keep these servers alive. You guys keep motivated on keeping the server clean from trolls and cheaters. It also help out on the server fees and expansions of more marketing for the server. Your donations helps tremendously because I continue to see growth on all the server and less trolls and hackers. Also I get tons of compliments on how they love playing on BNR, like always I appreciate all your comments, good or bad.

Thank you again for joining our Rust Community and I am slowly expanding to other survival games to expand to more game servers to explore.

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

There’s has been some server issues with blueprints on the US Brave New Rust Server, I have issued a ticket to see there is a remedy. But the end is near and the new XP is about to start on 7/7.

This will be a big change for the game of Rust, even though people might moan and groan about the new system. Change is always good.

So here’s a preview to the next season, it will be bigger map and it should give you guys enough space for more room to build.

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

No update today and I haven’t been posting anything really new on Rust because right now all the development is going all in on the new XP system. As you all know the next wipe will be coming next week so this will be the last week to do whatever you got to do and we will wipe on 7/7.

I hope you use this weekend to relax, play rust or just be with your families. Its July 4th this weekend and I hope everyone have fun and are safe.

Right now, I’m going to a big transition in my life. And more that I would like to admit it, I’m going through some big changes. With trying to find work, moving to Washington, working in Oklahoma, and being on the road for 3 weeks, has been an adventure.

Somehow, in some weird way, “Rust” falls in to place somewhere in there.

This month has been fun, as I manage to start settling in and got my computer setup. I’m running on a better video card so I can actual play. For the most part, I believe everyone is waiting for the new XP system, so once that goes live on 7/7 we’ll hopefully see a max server.

All Servers are updated, so have fun.

I’m currently working on my computer and upgrading my hardware. I’m trying to continue to improve my Twitch Channel and the Brave New Rust Community. So any suggestion or if you want to help out, please message me for inquire on how to better the community.

I have lots of ideas that are in line, such as; special events, making Rust videos, taking more screen shots, and more PvP. I hope Brave New Rust continues to grow as a community and I will do my best to manage all the servers.

Changed default decay tick interval to 10 minutes

Here are the main rules:

For performance, the server resets everyday for good latency. Please make sure you’re not crafting during these times or the client will boot you when resets.

I tried to reset during non peak times.
