  • Fixed bug where a gun’s magazine would spawn out of thin air in 1st person during reload
  • Dungeon art monthly progress
  • Weapon mods can both offset and scale all weapon stats
  • Fixed weapon hip aim cone parameter being ignored
  • Fixed that only the first weapon attachment was receiving the weapon aiming state
  • Added layer.toggle, layer.show, layer.hide and layer.culling admin console commands
  • The restart console command now takes the number of seconds as an argument
  • The default restart timer is now 5 minutes instead of 60 seconds

AUS/NZ Server is UP! Sorry that it was down for a bit. Thanks for your patience.

Moving sucks but with all the action and updates on Rust, looks like everything is a go. I hope everything is well on the island of Brave New Rust. It looks like I will be moving out of California next week and I will be up in Washington, by the end of the month. I hope soon, I can upgrade my rig and support a new Graphic Card but I can’t upgrade until I’m all settled. We as a community can continue to try to bring great community members to our server, but overall Brave New Rust, should be a self sustaining community, and I appreciate you guys populating the server and bearing with me during my transition.

The Australian Server was a down for a bit last night but I submitted a ticket and had to get it up again with some server issues, but Everything should be good to go now for the server end.

It looks like Garry is giving Rust a great update with Hemp Farming, Water Purification, and Anti-hacks. This definitely give Rust a nice personality that broadens the survival feel. I hope once everything is all settled with my moving position, I would like to add a PvE server, in the future for building experimenting, PvE, and Carebearing.

Garry is working on more Anti-Hack so hes listening to a lot of suggestions to fix the cheating problem. Overall, please don’t cheat on Brave New Rust, we are trying to have a great Vanilla experience, and it looks like y’all are still having fun.

If you didn’t know we have two Vanilla Rust Servers, one that is located in Los Angeles, US and the other is in Sydney, Australia.

Looking at the analytic of each server interaction is fascinating and each server display different types of people from different parts of the world. Each has its own architecture and personality, even the language and ethics are different. Each Server and users have different means to survive…

You should check the server stats sometimes, and you can see how many players come and go on Brave New Rust. Overall, this season we average 25-50 users on any given moment, playing Rust. You guys are the community and hopefully Rust can get out of Alpha…until then…

Looking at the Australian server, it is slowly growing, and going through some growing pains. There was an influx of salt and players coming and going. The US Server on the other hand is going steam ahead. Averaging 25-30 people, there seems to show that there are veteran groups that occupy the US West Server. The US Server even broke her record of 43 users on, “US Brave New Rust” at the same time. So if your looking for action, look no further.

It is the start of Season V of Brave New Rust. New changes to the Rust game, and new changes with my life. I just came back from my trip from the desert and like always learn new things about humanity. I hope you enjoyed your time in Brave New Rust in April. It’s a New Month and New Season, So both the AUS and US have a new Map and New Wipe. Sorry no XP system yet, it looks like they will add it hopefully in June. Hi Brave New Rust Community,

The US and AU Server are updated with the 4k Map. Garry also did a BP Wipe, for some unknown reason…

The map doesn’t seem like it is 100% because of the new update, so please bare with the new patch. Rust.IO probably needs to be updated still with the new patch.

I still plan to have the US Brave New Rust on a Bi-Weekly Wipe. Anyone that wants to have a full month without a wipe, can join the AU Brave New Rust. I plan to keep the AU Server under the Full Dev-Wipe because it is still a brand new server.

Again this is just experiments, and things are always subject to change. Thank you for your cooperation and hope you enjoy the NEW 4k map.

Season 4 will be coming very soon. I know this month has been kind of slow with people coming in and out of different games. Since this has been a weird month, it feels alot slower with the break between with GDC. Next season we’re going to try to spice it up and keep Brave New Rust fast and fresh. 4/7/2016…

BP Wipe – It’s been a long time since we had a BP Wipe, and it looks like the level up system will come later. So expect a new fresh start for US Brave New Rust…since AU Brave New Rust it still new, there will not be a BP wipe for AU.

Bi-Monthly Map Wipes – All Buildings will be wiped, but were expected to have more people come back and that requires more room. Expect a bigger 4k map and a earlier wipe, it will be two weeks wipe, instead of a month. So expect more action and more people to move next door to you…

All Chat – All Chat will change to local chat, this is due to the abuse of salty users and cyber bullying. Brave New Rust should be a place of fun, not a playground for dirty laundry or toxic behavior…Therefore any users trolling in local chat will know that they are also in close proximity of bullets…

Rads Will Be On – I have to test if this works, but the idea is to bring back the Rads back on the Map. This will forces more strategy of building and make landmarks different…

New Players, New Clans – I’m sure with every season, we will grow bigger so I appreciate everyone contributing by telling people about the server and how nice it is. I appreciate all the great feedback. 🙂

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

Devblog 103 is out and the both US and AU servers are updated.

The community is slowly changing and growing at the same time.

Many have voice many concern on how the server is operating but moving forward, there will be no more harassment on the admin and any decision that is made will be final. Arguing or disrespecting the Admins or Mods can result to future kicks/ban.

Overall, please treat people with the respect they deserve. Act toxic and aggressive towards the community will get you kicked out of this server.

**Ignorance is not an excuse…you will be kicked and banned. **

So please, treat everyone with respect, especially the community.

Hi Brave New Rust Community,

Garry is currently still at GDC and there has been no update for the game of Rust. Other than that, the Brave New Rust community has been popping.

Even with the slow influx of people, coming and leaving. The server still average 25 users on peak nights. On a slow night roughly 10-15 user. Also I notice more clans have been staying on later playing around the 12am-4am shifts. Also the server always seems to have users 24/7 now compare to last season. So in all fairness, the server is still growing and steadily growing with different people all around the world.

The AU Brave New Rust server is steadily growing too. There’s been a steady bit of traffic, but definitely seems like a fun new server to start over if your tired of US Brave New Rust. Overall, thank you for all the new folks from the Down Under for joining the community. Just please spread the good news down there. Cheers from the US.

Thanks again, for being part of the community, I’m going to steadily be going to work and popping in and out very soon. My move out of California is coming very soon, so I will continue to do my best to monitor for hackers and potential other issues that goes about on the server.

I appreciate all the reports and I hope to keep the game as clean as possible of cheaters. I suggest for future issues for users to start recording their game play. This will help me investigate any potential users problems remotely and still monitor the servers. Thanks again for all your cooperation.
